Getting into shape 6.5 pounds in 14 days
Aldo is really starting to make progress getting into shape. Just today I can see the difference in his physique and attitude. I can see his belly flattening, more definition in his arms and his face is slimming down, looking healthier and younger.
He is replacing bad habits with good habits.
Some Bad habits
Eat late at night
Go to sleep late
Wake up late
Grab a donut, bagel, roll, snickers or orange juice for breakfast
Obsess over the past
Live in the past
Pizza or spaghetti for lunch
Stay inside work or apartment too much
Watch or listen to the “news” which is one depressing disaster after another for hours upon hours
Dinner stretches from 6 on till full in the belly
Absolutely abominable daily snacks like cookies, cookies, m&m’s, kit Kat, muffins, baby Ruth bars, chips and pretzels
No connection to nature, higher power, the beauty of the world
Some new good habits
Eat early at night
Go to sleep early
Wake up early
Have a healthy breakfast like this today
1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, onion, green pepper, tomato with papaya and avocado on the side
Get some exercise, so far today, aldo has done 50 pushups and 30 laps swimming, about 30 minutes of exercise so far
Get out of the apartment for a break
Stop thinking about the past
Stop watching the news all day
Make his own news more interesting than the daily drama on the web, papers, reality tv
Connect to nature in whatever works for him
He told me he used to be religious in his youth, so I suggested that he start paying our mediating once a day so he can connect and feel some gratitude for being alive and that he has an opportunity now to change for the better.
Focus on the present and what he had to be grateful for

So here was the lunch
A tuna salad made with 1/2 can of tuna, avocado, cottage cheese, diced onion and celery
Actually, this is a picture of the breakfast omelette and above is a photo of the lunch, not so simple to write a post from a mobile phone!
In the meantime, i suggested that also do more pushups, he has already done 3 sets of 15, and then take a good walk. He told me he had been in his apt and I Ann Irving him to get out and move, just for 30 minutes. After that, he can have a snack and then we will figure out dinner.
