Oh this hurts. My knee…all I was doing was going up to the pullup assist machine and felt a twinge in my right knee cap. I had just finished a set of squats with 85lbs, shoulder presses with 85lbs, 15 pushups and upright rows and just wanted to finish off with pullups and I felt that twinge and still feel it several hours later.
Uh oh, I hope that this will go away. As you might know, I already have a torn medial meniscus in my left knee and was very concerned about doing squats or deadlifts with a comprimised knee, but I think in fact they have made my knees and legs stronger, at least the supporting muscles, but apparently not strong enough.
The irony of course is getting an injury in the gym from stepping onto a pullup assist machine. So what did I do, I left the gym, I did not want to test the knee by putting more stress on it. I went home and made a good breakfast and if my knee starts to feel better, I will take it out for a walk and even a run.
See, we just do not value a healthy body enough, I should say I, but really since my initial injuries of my knee and wrist, I am quite happy when everything appears to be functioning properly.
So, in terms of weight, I am pretty much in the same boat today as yesterday, 201.7, a tenth of a pound up and the same in body fat percentage 23.9 and BMI 26.1. So now I am facing two tests, the first is the weekend when I typically go up way too many pounds and the second is the stress of hurting my knee. Yes, that should be the worst that ever happens, I agree with you there.
I also mentioned yesterday that I had bad heartburn from whole wheat bread, so today I went back to rye and so far so good after breakfast which was the same as yesterday and the day before, whole grain rye with an egg omelette of one whole egg and three whites mixed with a tablespoon of flax, tomato, onion and spinach, alot of spinach.
The big challenge today will be not feeling too down because I could not finish my workout or do deadlifts and hope that the weekend will be enough time to rest up and heal whatver it is that twinged before.
I am going to hit the bottle, the water bottle I mean for alot of water today and stick to the plan, another snack in an hour or so, lunch at 130, snack at 330, dinner at 6 and maybe a last snack at eight.
Here are the rest of the days from the beginning when I started at 211.4 this last sunday, so I do not complain at all with 201.7, just have to hang tight and not let depression persuade me to have more food in the hope of what? accomplishing what? nothing! I still want to lose another 20 pounds because the initial 10 from sunday I know is alot of water weight and bloat from just having too much.

And if you have more information to add about how to lose fat fast and/or fight depression, please let me know. Today I was just told by a friend that he has a 30% blockage in his artery and failed a stress test and he is only 50! Getting rid of the spare tire and extra layers of fat that pad our bodies and internal organs is critical. Thank you!
