Elliptical Workouts for Weight Loss

How good are elliptical workouts for weight loss ?

Today after doing the elliptical trainer for an hour, I found that I had lost 1.3 more pounds.

For you, this means that adding elliptical workouts for weight loss is not a bad idea.

I discovered that I lost another 1.3 pounds using the elliptical trainer for 60 minutes.

Granted, 60 minutes is more time than you might want to spend on the elliptical.

However, there are other elliptical workouts that you can do in a shorter period of time.

Elliptical workouts for weight loss can be done in a shorter period of time.

Especially, if you do a High Intensity Interval Training elliptical workout.

So now, for the last month I am over 15 pounds down.

Do you need to lose 15 pounds?

Or more?

I know how you feel.

At one time, I was up to 100 pounds over my ideal weight.

I know the struggle of losing weight.

The reason that I mention the elliptical trainer, is because the elliptical is a fairly pleasant workout.

Your elliptical workout does not have to be too taxing to see results.

The interesting thing is that I am NOT doing the elliptical workouts very aggressively.

My experience was going at a moderate pace of three miles an hour for an hour.

I still saw good results.

Elliptical plus Better Food equals Weight Loss Results

Try the following breakfast:

Cup of oatmeal with walnuts and grapes

2 egg whites and 1 whole egg sautéed in a tablespoon of olive oil.

Add onion, tomato and garlic.

Besides walking, the elliptical trainer is one of the best exercises to lose weight.

Now that I am off the 7 train, I can finish up what I wanted to share with you.

On Monday, November 3, 2014, I was 205lbs – 48.8lbs of fat 24.1% body fat and 26.3 BMI.

Today at 194.2 I am down just about 11 pounds.

I think that is a good time to reflect on what I have been doing right for the last month and how you can apply that to yourself.

For someone who wants to know how to lose 10 pounds in a month, here it is.

If you want to lose 10 pounds in a month, you need a few new habits.

New Habits to lose 10 Pounds in a month.

What you will need:

Apple Cider Vinegar

Blackstrap Molasses

Organic Honey

Lemons

Onion

Tomato

Garlic

Spinach

Broccoli unless you have an under active thyroid

Old fashioned Oatmeal

Walnuts

Grapes

Idaho Potatoes

Tuna Fish

Wild Salmon

Organic Chicken

Turkey Breast

Veggie Burgers if you are vegetarian

Brown Rice

Mushrooms

Basil

Parsley

Dill

Parsnip

Cilantro

Cucumber

Garlic Dill Pickles

Olives

Organic Eggs

A place to walk or bike or do the elliptical, treadmill, row or swim.

A gym which has free weights.

Or your garage or basement that you outfit with free weights.

1. Get to Sleep on Time – Shoot for 10 pm and get up by 6am.

2. First Drink of the Day

Apple Cider Vinegar, Lemon, Blackstrap Molasses, Honey, all tablespoon measure in 16 oz of water.

3. Early morning workout.

The point of getting up so early is so you have time to do 30 minutes to an hour of your favorite type of exercise.

If you do not have one, then choose one, because if you want to lose weight, you have to start moving.

There is no point in starving yourself if all you have to do is walk, right?

Personally I use the elliptical trainer at a very moderate pace of 3 miles an hour, hardly moving or sweating, but as I have mentioned several times, I can see a pound or more drop almost every time I have finished a full hour.

Swim, bike, treadmill, something!

Get moving please and do yourself a big favor, building a body and mood that you can be proud of does take some effort.

You are not going to look much different if you just eat differently, though it will help a lot.

You also have to move and do the right exercises to lose weight to transform your body.

You can improve your life with this simple suggestion to get moving.

4. Make your meals simple.

Choose a whole food carbohydrate with vegetables and a lean protein.

Some easy examples:

Oatmeal and Vegetable egg omelete.

Rice and vegetables and eggs.

Brown rice , veggies and chicken.

Baked potato and broccoli and turkey.

Quinoa, veggie burger and vegetables.

Rice, tofu and vegetables.

Kasha, lean meat and asparagus.

I think you have the idea.

5. Minimize fruits and nuts for the meantime till you get to your goal weight.

If you want to have a handful of nuts or a grapefruit, go for it, just don’t overdose on it.

Drink wine once a week on the weekend if you want, a glass or two should be enough for you to socialize.

6. Do a pushup and shoulder press workout Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Deadlifts and squats on Monday , Wed and Friday.

7. Rest on the weekend or the whole weekend, but you need at least one good day off.

For me I take off from Friday evening till Sunday Morning.

8. Trust in your elliptical workouts for weight loss.

Get in at least 150 minutes of elliptical per week.

All you need to do is 30 minutes of elliptical, 5 days a week.

That’s it.
