How to Lose 50 Pounds – Get Ready for the Beach!

In the Beginning, you or someone else said something to you where you acknowledged that “I need to lose weight fast!”

It could have been your doctor, significant other or yourself after seeing a picture of yourself that you did not recognize.

Then, you hopped on the scale and see that you are at 220lb or 230lb or even 250lbs.

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me over and over for many years.

Until I finally figured it out, at least for myself and I have seen the same tips work for anyone that has tried them out.

I am going to give you a step by step action plan that will guide you how to lose 50 pounds.

How long will it take to lose 50 pounds?

There is no clear answer and there should be no time pressure. We all know that it did not take one day to put on that weight and it will not take one day to take it off. What I do know is that if you follow my plan of how to lose 50 pounds, not only will you lose the weight, but you will also transform your physique. I went from a 48″ waist to a 31″ waist in 9 months. I dropped 50lbs in approximately 6 months, averaging about 8lbs per month, 2lbs per week and 1/2 a pound a day.

So, to answer the question of how long will it take to lose 50 pounds, from personal experience, I say that six months should be enough time and three months enough time to drop 25lbs.

I Need to Lose Weight Fast Realization!

First, you must really acknowledge to yourself that you must make a change.

You do not like how you look, feel or both.

My suggestion to accomplish that is by taking a selfie for yourself. You do not have to post it anywhere, but you have to look at it. If you are happy with how you are looking, then all is well and keep doing what you are doing. However, if you see a picture of yourself among your own gallery, or worse, in someone else’s album where you cannot believe that is you, then you have the realization that you need to fuel your efforts and start to make the changes that are necessary for you to get on the road to fitness, health and a better quality of life.

Now I am going to give you all that you need in order to lose 50 pounds. You do not need an entire book to tell you what to do. I am going to give you one proven path to accomplishing your goal, so get ready to take action.

Healthy foods to lose weight

Your number one FRIEND to lose weight is healthy food. I know, you have always looked at food as the enemy. Surprise, healthy food is your friend and processed food is your enemy (except for special occasions like your wedding where you better have the slice of cake that your new wife feeds you!).

Here is your meal plan:

For at least two meals a day, make most of your meal vegetables.

For example, in the morning you can have an omelette loaded with veggies, some hummus and avocado on the side, better known as Hashimashi!

For Lunch, you can have a big salad of spinach, cucumber, tomato, onions (make sure to gargle well as this lunch will leave your friends calling you Onion if you do not!), pickles, olives, turkey or chicken or tuna/salmon, tofu.

You get the idea. Load up on vegetables as much as possible for these two meals.

You will notice that you are not craving sugar. I will explain why in another article, but in the meantime, that should be a great relief for you.

So for two meals a day, you stock up on vegetables and some protein, either animal or vegetarian.

I also recommend a snack about 3 or 4 pm of an apple and some almonds as one example.

You could have a greek yogurt with some almonds and raisins as well or a grapefruit.

The idea is to keep it SIMPLE.

If you have these two meals and a snack, I promise you that you will NOT be starving for dinner. Yes, you will get a bit hungry, but you will see that it is a hunger that feels good and natural as your body is detoxifying from sugar and processed food.

Best Exercises to Lose Weight

I did not tell you your dinner yet because I want to mention exercise.

The best exercise in my experience is compound weight lifting that revolves around deadlifts, squats and pushups. They are all fairly simple, yet can build a powerful physique in and of themselves without anything else.

The reason is this, the most important factor in how to lose 50 pounds is to get your eating under control! Get your food under control before spending hours at the gym. You do not need hours at the gym. You need to eat real food, vegetables, some fruit, nuts for snack, a little protein. It is not rocket science but most of us are sugar addicts, processed food addicts and have no clue how to break free.

Vegetables will set you free. Replace all of your processed starchy foods like bread, bagels, croissants with vegetables and watch what happens.

Once your body starts to trim down, your natural muscles will begin to show, your real face will be revealed and it will not take you too much effort to build visible muscle.

You can see more information on the benefits of deadlifts, squats and pushups to transform your physique at those links.

Bottom line, eat your healthy foods to lose weight, all vegetables, some protein, a handful of nuts here and there for snack. Then, start slow with deadlifts, squats and pushups and watch the magic happen. If you are looking for a more supervised regimen that will take you between 15 and 30minutes tops where you can get personal attention and use top of the line equipment to build stronger bones and muscles, just contact me directly.

Guess Who is Not Coming for Dinner?

Now, I know you are wondering what is for dinner.

Here are my suggestions.

At the beginning, when you have 50 or more pounds to lose, you want your dinner to be light. This means no pretzels, no potato chips, no pretzels, no hot dogs, no heavy foods.

If you eat heavy food at night, you will have a tough time falling asleep early and will most likely not drop any weight the next day.

I recommend that you do your strength workout after your afternoon snack and before your dinner. If you do not have time before your dinner, then the next best time will be before breakfast and the least favorable will be after dinner. No matter what, your strength workout should not take you more that 15 to 30 minutes.

A strength workout can be as simple as doing pushups for fifteen minutes and working up to a total of 100 for example. Just increase your numbers gradually. Same goes for deadlifts and squats. Start with a very light weight, work up to 5 repetitions and then increase the weight, very gradually.

After your workout, have a light dinner.

This can be a soup, a sweet potato or some vegetables and fish.

But I do not want you to choke over any more vegetables, so I like a light soup like red or yellow lentil soup or a sweet potato and tilapia.

Do not worry that your dinner is light.

You are not going to starve!

You have plenty of fat reserves for months.

I also like to use a meal replacement called IsaLean Pro for the following reasons, especially after a strength workout:

Help speed post-workout recovery

Curb Hunger

It is a creamy and delicious way to top off the day

6 grams of Fiber, 23 Vitamins and minerals, low gylcemic, gluten and soy free, active enzymes to aid digestion

Maximize your muscle gains with an infusion of branched-chain amnino acids

Protein is derived exclusively from dairy cows raised on the pristine grass pastures of New Zealand

Cows are NOT treated with hormones or antibiotics

You can get leaner faster

Help you lose the stubborn and visceral belly fat, the most dangerous type of fat to be carrying on your body

You do NOT have to use IsaGenix or any other meal replacement for this plan to work.

You can lose 50 pounds without any meal replacements at all.

However, from experience, I can tell you that a meal replacement like IsaLean Pro, can help curb your cravings for sweet snacks while maximizing your fat loss and muscle gains.

Cheating

If you are not a sugar addict, then once a week, you can cheat a bit on your meals.

However, if you are a sugar addict, and my assumption is that any person who is 50 pounds or more overweight, does have some level of sugar/processed food addiction, and in that case, I do not recommend any cheating, unless it is a very special occasion, like a birthday, anniversary or holiday.

How to Lose 50 Pounds Summary

Action Steps

1. Eat Real Food – at least 2 meals a day have veggies and a vegetable or animal protein. One or two snacks of a fruit and some nuts. You can use a greek yogurt as well. Dinner must be LIGHT. A soup, a sweet potato and fish, light, light, light. Or a meal replacement shake like IsaLean Pro works very well.

2. Do some strength training 2 or 3 times a week using compound weight exercises like squats, deadlifts and pushups. If you are not up to that yet, then walk for 30 minutes to an hour. Simple.

3. Have a piece of cake on very special occasions only, especially in the first 6 months when you are breaking your addiction.

If you follow this very simple plan on how to lose 50 pounds, in 6 months, your friends and family will not recognize you.

The above plan is how to lose 50 pounds.

Please let me know if you have tried it out and how it is working for you.
