Here is a new Before After set which I took yesterday on Dec 12, 2012. I am posting this today because I had started on a Thursday (June 21, 2012) and today is 175 days!
This set came about because of one of our crew here, Mary, who urged me to do something special for my birthday, so what I did was go and get a new suit since my old ones were not fitting anyway! My old suits were a 46 regular suit jacket and the new jacket that I got is a 40 Regular, and the old pants were a 42pants with plenty of belly left to flop over the belt line like some of us guys like to do, we would rather be very tight in the waist then get the size that really fits the waist, at least that is what I have done. I also should mention that in the before shots I had dyed my hair of course trying to look better. In these after shots, I have not touched the hair since the before ones. I think I will stay with the natural look and clearly, the dye cannot mask the belly! The other tidbit I want to mention here is the experience I had getting this suit, I need a suit in any case because I have a wedding to go to in Toronto coming up , I have never been up there, hear it is cold! In the old days, getting a new suit meant having a tailor take out the pants and fit the jacket. Two days ago on the 11th, when I took Mary up on her advice, the suit fit right off the rack. Put the jacket on , great and then tried on the pants, 34 was too loose, so put on 33/32 and presto magic, got a suit. In terms of shirt, I used to wear a xxl or xl size, the shirt here is a medium tailored slim fit, as is the suit. And at the bottom is the whole suit all together!

Richard I am sure you have noticed how much better your posture is in the after Picture.
now that you mention it, i do see that the posture is better, I am guessing because with the extra weight in the before picture, I could not straighten up much more, most people have pointed out the no neck in the before, or that my nose even looked fatter, or the size of my head, saying it was twice as large…! and the jaw line, legs, width of stomach , body. I can see that though now that you mention it, the pictures do not lie. I also think my hair color is better natural than with the dye, yikes, especially in the second before shot, I can see how fake it looks, so, forget it, no mas!
I am so glad I inspire you as well. Doing well with the change in diet. It’s hard during the holidays I get invited out to lunch. But I look the menu up prior and pick the healthiest thing on the menu. By the way you look better with your natural color. I didn’t work out for a few days, starting my new job took a lot out of me. But tonight it’s back on track.
Hi Mary, Yes, thank you! I know it is a challenge during the holidays, sounds like you are doing great. Remember, gradual changes, if consistent, yield big results…congrats on your new job, that is awesome! Go Mary!
Yes good for you Richard. That’s awesome. Nice looking suit and You deserve it. Thanks for mentioning me. Any small contribution I can make to your cause means a lot to me!!
Hi Mary! Sure, of course I mention you, you have been supporting me as well and that is alot of encouragement for me too. How is your food and training going?
You look great! I agree…leave the natural look to your hair…looks “distinguished” as they say. This inspires me to go ahead and take some BEFORE pictures…I’ll be glad I did. It’s amazing what you have done for yourself in such a short time 175 days! I could do the same by summer if I put my mind to it.
Hi Robynann,
Great to see you here…thanks for the hair sanity check! There is no question you can do what you want by summer time…thats another six months, plenty of time to transform yourself! We all encourage each other , that helps, plus just eating the real food…stick with that…that is what makes the difference in my experience, not the exercise…though the exercise helps, but that is like the cherry on top, the real food is the foundation for getting lean… Keep sharing, thanks!
