Pushups 300!

Today is pushup set day, and I have two pushup set days per week. On the max day, I do as many consecutive pushups as possible and that is it, nothing else, cause I need to rest after that. On the set day, I will do 5 or more sets of pushups throughout the day. I still have to work up to being able to do them within one , two or three hours, but honestly, so far at this point, once I do my first set, which for today was 49 pushups, that is already so much that it takes some time for my arms to recover and be able to go at it again.

Want Some Motivation To Keep Increase Pushups Gradually?

How About Going From 5 Pushups In A Day To 300?

So far today I did:

49 pushups

a big break

39 pushups

breakfast (Hashi Mashi, what else?!)

39 pushups

Had a box of raspberries and some grapes in between. Was not too hungry for much lunch.

39 pushups before dinner time, and now it is already after 11, but I only have in 166 pushups for the day. So I am going to get down and do some more!

UPDATE: did 44 more, ya! which I believe is equal to 21o total at this point.

And before I do that, I should mention that tonight I saw ‘Eva’ out and about in the City, she had not seen me for awhile and she exclaimed:

“Richi Hashimashi! If you get any slimmer, I am going to be really pissed off! You look good now, no more!”

and I tried to explain to her that I do not even go on a scale anymore, at least not for awhile and when I said:

“But Eva…..”

“No Butts! No nothing, you’re good now, no more or I will force feed you Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla heath bar crunch”

Honestly, I have to admit that the idea of that ben and jerry of course is somewhat tempting, that was one of my major sweet treats, and Eva knows my hot buttons too well!

I did not have a chance to tell Eva that in fact, I have not lost weight for months, I have just been maintaining, eating when hungry & working out harder. This Friday, December 21 will be exactly six months from the day that I started back on June 21. Wow, time is flying, but I have probably not lost any weight at all for one to two months, my body just seems to have settled here wherever I am and the clothes are fitting right, which is I am sure related to keeping up with the real food and real strength exercises.

Alright, I will just have to explain that to ‘Eva’ over a good dinner, cause she does care!

Now, time for some more press ups as they say in London. Be back in a few!

Whew. alright, I did another set of 44, which brings my pushup total for the day t0 210. I am going to push for some more today, just because I feel like it! I would rather be overdosing on the pushups than the chocolate chip cookies and the ben and jerrys, back then when the only ‘food’ I had was ice cream and cookies, I could not do more than 5 total pushups in the day.

Today , to celebrate, I want to see how far I can get. Already at 210, should be able to do a few more. I will let you know as I move ahead tonight.

So I just did another 20 + 20+30 + 20 for 300!

So, that might not be a big deal for many people out there, but for me it is considering where I started! Back on June 21, 2012, the thought of even doing twenty in a day was exhausting, but today, six months later, I know I have more juice left to do more, but I will hold it at 300, it is enough for today, have to rest up tomorrow and just do deadlifts perhaps and curls, give my triceps and shoulders a rest for another day.

Hey, if pushups are good for the marines, then they are good enough for me!

Please share what you did today for exercise or diet. Keep us posted because that encourages all of us to keep making healthy changes!
