Push Up Workout at Home – 180 Push Ups a Day!

Push Up Workout at Home – Introduction

Push Ups have to be one of the world’s greatest exercises.

Simple to do yet powerful in their results.

No equipment required other than a floor.

So simple that you can even do a push up workout at home.

You can build up gradually from even one push up to so many that your entire body will start to feel and display the results.

I remember when I was a kid, watching a commercial back in the late sixties or early seventies that was from the American Council on Fitness and Exercise.

The commercial showed a middle aged man, I think fifty plus, but could have been forty struggling to do even one push up.

Of course, at that time, I could never imagine being forty or above.

I could not even imagine being above thirty as many of my musical icons passed away before they were thirty, Mama Cass, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors frontman to name just a few.

But I remember watching that forty plus man with his huge pot belly getting down on the floor and trying to do one push up and he could not!

He heaved and hoed and struggled terribly.

At that time I was on the swim team of Francis Lewis High School and could not imagine being in such gruesome shape.

Push Up Workout at Home – Reality

The reality is that all of us teenagers of the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties have grown up.

We are now in our thirties, forties, fifties and sixties or more.

Time marches on and too many of us have become the man in that commercial.

I certainly did.

And without exercising the body, I became that guy who could not do even one push up, almost two years ago.

But, I am excited to tell you that you can change it up.

You can go from being that fat jelly belly guy to a fit guy.

Doing the PushUp Workout at Home – How to Build up your Push Ups

It is very easy.

Start with one.

One push up.

Get to where you can do at least one push up with good form and I promise you that you can go further.

On June 21, 2012, I started with one push up.

When I was a teenager, I was on my high school swimming team and college gymnastic team.

I was fit.

I had a six pack and never really thought much about it.

Fast forward forty years and I could not do one push up and had a 48 – 50 inch waist which I have shown you on the site here.

My apologies, to me and to you!

One Push Up.

Start today.

Use good form.

If you do not know what good push up form looks like, it is easy to do.

Get on the floor, that is all you need, a floor, I like hardwood floor the best, but any floor will do, put your hands shoulder width, put your body back straight, from your head to your toes, your elbows close to your body but they do not have to be touching your waist, and lower yourself keeping your body straight until your nose touches the ground and then push up.

That is how to do a push up workout at home.

Push Up Workout at Home – Results

Do you want to see results like I have experienced, 75 pound weight loss and 18 inches off the waist?

They are pretty good results.

All you have to do is to start.

Start eating according to the Hashi Mashi Plan, and start doing push ups.

The only exercises that I did over a 9 month period were push ups, squats and deadlifts at a much less frequent rate.

Push Up Workout at Home – Action Plan

Start with 1 Push Up.

Build on one push up every day or every other day.

Even if you add only one push up a week. Keep adding.

Keep eating the Hashi Mashi way, real food.

As your body gets lighter, push ups will be easier to do. Just eating the Hashi Mashi Way and push ups can bring your body down a pound a day!

I told you that I started with 1 push up back in 2012.

Yesterday I did 180 push ups for the day.

First thing in the morning I did 40 push ups, then 35, then 30 and hour later, then 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5.

Today as I conclude this post, I am going to shoot for forty push ups again.

This is not the only way how to do a push up workout at home, but it is certainly one way and if you stick to it, an effective way.
